A great publication made by FauxAmi Exhibitions from the SKATEBOARD MUSEUM STUTTGART in Germany. Made for Skate (the illustrated history of skateboard footwear) is the first well documented publication that depicts how Skateboard shoes emerged and went from only Skateboarders wearing them to an $800 Million a year business.

The Airwalks 540, cutted down to meet the demands of the Technical Skateboarding of that time.

With tons of info about all the precious classics from all times and special historical facts and photos that make this book worth more than its price and a “must have” for every Skateboarder, 400 pages of knowledge for everyone, get your own and be ready to flip pages of pure nostalgia from beginning to end. FEB 16: New Track Jackets.

The New Track Jackets are now available at the STORE. The “ULTRA” is available in purple, Kelly Green and Red and new colors will be available on the weekend. JAN 30:ASR.

The weekend of the 22nd thru the 24th we attended yet another ASR tradeshow, like kids in a candy store we rush in, to only see that the economy has affected all sectors and industries in the whole country. As a result several brands didn’t attend the Trade Show this year. It didn’t look crazy empty but it wasn’t like other years.

Setup and not so many people as you can see...

This year brought for the first time a “mini” Mega Ramp. This is a miniature replica of the real mega ramp. But please do not let the word “mini” confuse you, this construction was huge and just to give you a hint Bob Burnquist and Andy Mac were there trying tricks onto a rail that was set up on top of the kicker ramp.

Good stuff usually comes in bottles.

I Had the opportunity to meet one of the legends of Skateboarding, Dennis Martinez whom along with Christian Hosoi, Jay Adams and Bruce Logan were presenting the release of their life documentary called D.O.P.E “Death Or Prison Eventually” that talks about how their lives change from having fame and fortune to becoming addicted to drugs and loosing it all and finally being in jail to pay for their dues to society. A very powerful documentary and definitely a must have DVD for a real skateboarder.

The brands from Europe didn’t attend this year due to Europe having another trade show happening at the same dates as the ASR. Brands and retailers focused on the sales and tried to have a normal trade weekend leaving the negative economy and rumors aside. I think the ASR this past weekend was a success for everyone that attended but we’ll wait to see what September has to bring us and hope for the best to everyone in the future.

JAN 30: Tomorrow !!!!

The New CFL Track Jackets will be added to the STORE tomorrow :), made of 95% polyester and 5% Lycra one sided Fleece these jackets will come in 4 sizes and 3 colors with contrasting piping and side seam pockets; as always production is limited and they are 100% made by skateboarders in downtown Los Angeles, so make sure to check back tomorrow for the full update!!, also the new line of “SNIPER” Fur jackets and new stripe Hoodies will be available next week so make sure to check back for all the new stuff !!

DEC 17: GO BUY THIS BOARD NOW !!!

We are happy to announced that a very close friend of ours has recently turned Pro by one of the sickest East Coast Skate brands. 5BORO from NYC has finally rewarded one of their most talented riders with the Professional status. “Daniel Falla” or how we used to call him back in the day in our homeland Peru: “Legañita” is the new Pro for 5BORO and we felt the need to make a honorable mention to him on the night of his Welcoming party to the Pro leagues in NYC.

We are sure he will do great on this new roll in his life and we wish him all the best from the Choncordia family.
